Exemptions

There are a few properties that are exempt from AB 1482

Properties are exempt from AB 1482 if they meet one of the following criteria:

  1. The owner is a natural person or trust that owns a single-family home or condominium
  2. A property that received its certificate of occupancy within the past 15 years
  3. The property is a deed-restricted as affordable housing
  4. Housing owned by a non-profit, church, educational, or other government entity
